To my two friends, Jenneli and Michael, who are moving to the other side of the Pacific: Please take care while you are over there and don't forget about us over here! I will miss all of our anime talk during our various work breaks... well, we still have those two hours or so where we share hours and we can waste those minutes.
Best of luck to you two!!

Rena and Haruhi
As I mentioned, here's my images of my latest 2 figures: Rena Sayers and Haruhi Suzumiya. First off, Rena! This specific figure's from the My Otome series, but she's from another series which uses similar characters but completely different stories (a.k.a. My Hime and My Otome; I just forget what the series is called)

Pretty beautiful figure! It'd be nice to bring this figure to a beach and take nice pictures of her at a beautiful scenic beach!

This is a nice dynamic feel of the hair. Gives off a gusty feel to her.

Same comments for this image as above. I can totally imagine this shot at a beach with a nice blue sky behind.
Next up is Haruhi! I shouldn't need to explain her story...Anyways, her shirt is cast-offable to have her in her 2 piece bikini. both look pretty good I sometimes find it hard to decide which one I like better...

Honestly, this was one of the figures I was looking forward to when it came out and now that I have it, my expectations were just slightly off on it (I won't get into details). Nonetheless, it is still a nice figure as well and still glad I got it!

The figure is free standing, not requiring any pegs. The base here is pretty different in which it's cork instead of a plastic base.

I feel that she would looks a bit more sexier if the shirt was a lil bit more glossy, giving a look of as if she just came out of the ocean at a beach. whatt'dya think?

The last two I resized to a 1024x768 size, nice for a small wallpaper. I can make larger sizes upon request^^
K there u go with those two. I tried to keep it short but it seems I still might've kept it more lengthy again... I'll try to get a very short post up next couple of posts. Till then!

The latest with me
A post not necessarily focused on one thing, just what's been going on with me lately. Let's start!
First off, one pic of Gwendolyn:
I figured I'd try to do an outside shot with her in the most foresty looking area around my house. Unfortunately the best is my front lawn with some small bushes in the background. I'd like to try more outdoor figure shots if I can find good areas. Not much around my house.
Next up:
A model of the VF-25F Valkyrie from Macross Frontier! I thought this was going to be so hard to find. I'm going to take my time with this one. I'm actually thinking of doing a sequence photo shoot of it being built by the figmas. That would be cool!! lol
This just came in today. If you don't know what it is, what's wrong with you!!! j/k. So if my post are delayed from now on, this could be a good reason. Soo beautiful!!!!
This is my latest figma shot featuring my Haruhi and Lucky Star manga with figma Haruhi and Konata relaxing reading. I think this was a good idea, it just took me forever to set up just b/c I was searching for all the manga volumes of Haruhi within my messy room...
And finally, my latest 2 additions:
Rena Sayers from the My Otome series and Haruhi Suzumiya. I already did a short photo shoot on the two and I'll probably combine pics of both in an upcoming single post.
OK, that's it for me now. tis late and I still got work in the morning.

Hiyori Pixy
Ok, like I said from an earlier post. here's my photo shoot with Hiyori Pixy, from some series or game or something called ChuxChu Idol; I am not familiar with this.
Note: This figure is quite revealing and does have cast-off ability. To be on the safe side, I minimized those pictures so that I won't get in trouble. I am a noob-blogger and I don't want my blog-lifestyle to be shortlived. I apologize for anyone looking for more ecchi pictures, but, again, I'd like to stay on the safe side for now...

Quite a beautiful figure even though it's one with her bare butt sticking out. Not that I'm saying that it's a bad thing...I'm sure that most people would hide this figure when family members or the such are around the house. -_-
Despite that though, nice figure and a nice sexy pose. ^^
Easy on the eyes there. Such a cute facial expression.

The pumpkin hat is a nice addition as well and with a simple yet nice feature added to it. At first glance, I thought how sturdy it would be on the head; if it would slip off easily. yet they came with an ingenious idea of using magnets to keep it attached. Strong enough to keep it set.
Not much pics but that's what I got for Hiyori! Probably would team her up with my Melissa Seraphy figure and combine their pumpkin-ness lol! Although not original since I saw Hiyori with Melissa back in the day on the japanese GSC site.

Drossel von Flűgel
I was browsing around on DC at some the latest posts there and I came across this character:
Going by the name Drossel von Flűgel, It is for a new disney animation to be released in Japan called Fireball. Apparently they're already making figures of it in forms of nendoroid and figma. The figma one looks very detailed; the nendoroid wasn't painted yet and was the one that made me first wonder what character this was and from what series. Other poster on DC are calling her Hatsune Miki (maybe a nod to closely resembling the Vocalid character and to Disney's Mickey), I don't think it's an official (nick)name.
First thoughts made me remember her resembling the Nickelodeon robot character Jenny from "My Life as a Teenage Robot", then noticing it's Disney, maybe another nod to EVE from Wall-e. What do you think? An evolved form of EVE? eh?
Below's the link to the Fireball website (in Japanese, but it isn't difficult to navigate) and the promo video. Seeing how it moves does look like how Hatsune Miku would move so maybe there is a connection there somewhere...

EDIT:Looking through the youtube vids. seems there're already short eps on Fireball. I counted 10 short episodes; not sure if i missed any. not too bad.

gotta wait...
It seems I need to "build my rep" up at DC. I won't be allowed to upload my own posts there until some conditions are met. I understand the reason for the measures and I fully respect it. So I'll put up my blogsite in my profile and maybe some passerby's will come in :)

Odin Sphere Gwendolyn
Went to my favorite local anime store and my friend there had the latest of my multiple preorders come in from the warehouse (Thanks Luisa!). I only got 2 of my many this time and since the two I got were pretty amazing, I thought I'd do my first picture shoot on one of them, and share here what I've gotten.
Beforehand, The camera I used for taking the pictures is a Nikon D60 with the lens it came packaged with (18-55mm zoom). I am still learing the ropes around all the features varying the shutter speed and aperture for what I think are the best results. I hope in due time that I will develop many superb pictures in time. I appreciate any tips or comments which would help me out! Second, I'm not an official reviewer of figures or whatnot ; I base my compliments and criticism of figures as an avid collector of many and many of anime figures ^^.
With that outta the way, on to my two new additions to my large anime figure family!
It's Hioyri Pixy from Chu x Chu Idol and Gwendolyn from Odinsphere! I am not familiar with Chu x Chu Idol but I liked the figure. Gwendolyn's from the PS2 game which I thought was incredible in artwork and gameplay. The focus on this post will be Gwendolyn; I'll get to Hiyori in the next post.

Three angles of this figure. Very nice detail, as expected from Alter!
This angle's not too bad either ^^

I think I'm going to make this last one my current wp.

Here's the base for the figure. If anything, here would be my one criticism. The base is pretty small but it feels stable. There are two pegs that are on the foot that insert into the tree stump. For such a big figure, it's only being supported at this point and by two pvc pegs. Quite a balancing act! Despite that, it still is pretty stable just as long as something doesn't bump tremendously onto the flat surface
Another angle that focuses on, well, you can see for yourself. The inspiration of the 2nd shot was from an image of the upcoming Saber-Lily figure by GSC, roughly at the same angle...(The blurriness shows my inexperienced, as of now, photo shooting)
A close up of Gwendolyn's Staff.
Kudos to anyone that can identify the item in the background. (Sorry I don't have anything to offer, but still it'd be interesting to know if anyone can recognize it ^^)

Alright, that's Gwennie for ya! I hope you like the pics I have taken and expect to get better as I continue forward. Till next time!
